Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit ebookweb.in (the "Site") and buy The 30-Day Career Productivity Reset (the "Ebook"), and how that information is used. The Site is operated by Zeroknot Publishing ("we", "us", "our"). The Ebook is written by Sovan Das.
In short: the Site itself does not have accounts, does not use advertising or analytics trackers, and does not see your card or UPI details. Payments are handled by Razorpay. We use the contact details you give at payment only to deliver the Ebook and to help you if something goes wrong.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide when paying. When you click "Buy Now", you are taken to a payment page hosted by Razorpay. There you may be asked for details such as your name, email address and phone number, along with your payment details. Razorpay shares with us the information needed to complete your order, such as your name, email address, phone number, payment ID, amount paid and payment status.
Information we do not collect. We do not receive or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, netbanking credentials or wallet login. These are handled only by Razorpay and your bank or payment provider.
Information collected automatically. Like any website, our hosting provider's servers may log technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested and the date and time of the request. This is used for security, troubleshooting and keeping the Site running.
Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
2. How we use your information
- To process your order and deliver the Ebook to you.
- To confirm your payment and respond to payment, delivery or refund queries.
- To keep records that we are legally required to keep, such as for tax and accounting.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent fraud or misuse.
- To reply to your messages.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it to send you marketing messages unless you separately agree to receive them.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site does not set its own cookies and does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The countdown timer on the page runs in your browser and does not store or send any information about you. Third-party services described below (for example Razorpay's payment page) may set their own cookies under their own policies.
4. Third-party services
- Razorpay processes your payment on its own hosted page. Razorpay's handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy, available at razorpay.com/privacy.
- Google Fonts is used to display the Site's typefaces. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which means your IP address and browser details are sent to Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Hosting provider stores and serves the Site and may keep standard server logs.
- Email or delivery service, if used, may handle your email address in order to send you the Ebook.
We share your information with these providers only as needed to run the Site and fulfil your order. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or a government authority, or to protect our rights or prevent fraud.
5. Data retention
We keep order and payment records for as long as needed to deliver the Ebook, handle refunds and support requests, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. After that we delete or anonymise them. Razorpay keeps its own records under its own retention rules.
6. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, and payments are processed on Razorpay's secure payment page. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:
- ask what personal information of yours we hold and how it is used;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, except where we must keep it by law;
- withdraw any consent you have given, and raise a grievance with us.
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 10. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational, or any other authority with jurisdiction.
8. Children
The Ebook is written for working professionals. The Site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
